Directions from Auckland – approximately 3.5 hours

• Head north from Auckland on State Highway 1. It will take approx. 2.5 hours to Whangarei, then another 1 hour to Paihia.

• At Kawakawa, take State Highway 11 (straight on) and follow signs to Paihia and Bay of Islands.

• When reaching Paihia, drive all the way along the seafront and turn left at the roundabout onto Puketona Road.

• Drive past the Caltex service station on the left and Woolworths supermarket on the right. Continue for 3km until you reach a hill with passing lane. Ash Grove Motel is situated on the left at the top of the hill, just past the sign for the village of Haruru Falls. Do a U-turn into our driveway and you will find reception at the top.
  
   

Directions from Kerikeri Airport – approximately 20 minutes

• Turn left out of the Airport exit onto Wiroa Road.
   
• At the roundabout, turn right onto State Highway 10.
   
• After approx. 7km turn left onto Puketona Road, following the signs for Paihia & Waitangi.
   
• Approx. 10km along this road you will come to the village of Haruru Falls. As you go through the main part of the village, the road dips down, then goes up a hill with a passing lane. The Ash Grove Motel is situated at the top of this hill on the right hand side. Turn right into Ash Grove Circle, then sharp left up our driveway, which runs parallel with the main road. Reception is at the top of the drive
